Matte paint and PPF, is partial even an option?
I just bought a used BMW with matte grey paint and I'm terrified of ruining it. I know matte finishes are a nightmare to maintain and PPF seems like the only way to protect it, but I'm wondering if partial PPF would look weird because the film might change the sheen slightly and you'd see a line where it ends. I read that some films are specifically for matte, but I'm not sure if that solves the edge issue. Did you go full or partial, and did the edges show? I'm also curious about cost, since matte films seem pricier. I'd rather do it once and do it right, but full wrap is a big commitment.
